Moskowitz Announces Ten Appointments to U.S. Service Academies

CORAL SPRINGS, FL — Today, Congressman Jared Moskowitz (D-FL-23) announced that ten of his nominees to the United States’ service academies have received appointments to the Class of 2029 at the U.S. Air Force Academy, U.S. Merchant Marine Academy, U.S. Military Academy, or U.S. Naval Academy:

U.S. AIR FORCE ACADEMY:

Alana Browne (Coral Springs) — Coral Springs Charter School (graduated 2023)

Isabella Lackner (Hillsboro Beach) — Florida Atlantic University High School

Jake Taubman (Lighthouse Point) — Pine Crest School

U.S. MERCHANT MARINE ACADEMY:

Elise Rivas Mucklow (Boca Raton) — Homeschool

U.S. MILITARY ACADEMY:

Frank Florio IV (Boca Raton) — Cardinal Gibbons High School

Anthony Lattero (Boca Raton) — St. John Paul II Academy (graduated 2024)

U.S. NAVAL ACADEMY:

Daniel Gertsik (Boca Raton) — West Boca Raton High School (graduated 2024)

Katalin Jenkins (Boca Raton) — Florida Atlantic University High School

Jaxson Jewell (Coral Springs) — Deerfield Beach High School

Lucas Oberhelman (Wilton Manors) — St. Thomas Aquinas High School (graduated 2024)

“It’s an honor to congratulate these ten young Floridians on their appointments to the United States’ service academies,” said Congressman Moskowitz. “These students are not only some of our district’s best and brightest but also embody the dedication and leadership of our armed forces.
