Internships

Congressman Jared Moskowitz offers internships in both his Washington D.C. and Coral Springs offices.

Interns will collaborate with staff to serve the constituents of Florida’s 23rd Congressional District. The internship aims to provide a meaningful experience that deepens interns’ understanding of Congress. Responsibilities may include:

  • Answering phones
  • Sorting and responding to mail
  • Researching legislation
  • Attending briefings and hearings
  • Assisting staff with public events
  • Assisting with constituent casework
  • Administrative work as assigned
  • Additionally, interns will have the opportunity to specialize in either legislative or communications related assignments depending on their interests.

Internships in the Washington, D.C., and Coral Springs offices are available during the Fall, Spring, and Summer semesters. This position is not virtual. Applicants must be available to work 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Internships are available for either compensation or academic credit. Please note, House rules state that all paid employees and interns in the House of Representatives must be United States citizens.

Internship Terms and Application Deadlines:

Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis during the following windows:

  • Spring Term (January – May): Apply between August 1 and November 15
  • Summer Term (May – August): Apply between January 1 and March 15
  • Fall Term (August – December): Apply between May 1 and June 28
