Moskowitz, Gottheimer Send Letter to Speaker McCarthy Urging the Immediate Establishment of a Select Committee to Combat Antisemitism
Washington, DC
WASHINGTON, DC – Today, Congressman Jared Moskowitz (D-Florida) and Congressman Josh Gottheimer (D-New Jersey) called on House Speaker Kevin McCarthy to immediately establish the creation of a House Select Committee to combat antisemitism.
The lawmakers wrote, “In recent years, we have seen a troubling rise in antisemitic rhetoric and violence both at home and abroad. Left unchecked, this hate poses a direct threat not only to the Jewish community but the entirety of our society as it creates division and sows discord. To confront the threat of antisemitism, we urge you to form a Select Committee on Combating Antisemitism.”
